Competences Austro Control GmbH (ACG)
1. Department Dangerous Goods (DG)
- Dangerous Goods Surveillance within the process chain, starting at the Operator.
- Occurrence Management (Dangerous Goods Accidents, Incidents and other Occurrences have to be reported within 72 hours to the authority).
- Approval of Dangerous Goods Training Providers and Instructors.
- International Cooperation with international bodies and organisation, within the EU, neighbouring states, as well as demand-oriented harmonisation of the legal framework together with the economy and the industry in close collaboration with theFederal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK).
2. Group Operations (OPS)
- Dangerous Goods Transport Approval for commercial flight operations, as well as supervision of compliance with legal standards and the requirements issued.

- Elaboration and developement of the national legal framework

Competent supervisory authority of ACG is still the Supreme Civil Aviation Authority (OZB) and not the section ST 3 of the BMK.
