Going out of force of the need for a briefing for foreign examiners (FCL.1015 (c) (2))

The amending regulation (EU) No 245/2014 changed regulation (EU) No 1178/2011, Annex I (Part-FCL), FCL.1015 (c) in such way that examiners prior to the conduct of a skill test, proficiency check or assessment of competence no longer need to get a formal briefing on the national administrative procedures and requirements from the authority who issued the applicant’s licence if this licensing authority is different from the authority who issued the examiner certificate.

The amended requirement in FCL.1015 (c) (2) in such cases now requires the examiner on his or her own responsibility has to make himself or herself familiar with the national administrative procedures and requirements of the Member State where the applicant’s licence was issued. A document containing respective information from all Member States will be published on EASA’s website www.easa.europa.eu.

The amending regulation (EU) No 245/2014 containing the above described changes in FCL.1015 (c) has entered into force on 03.04.2014.
